1. I

   Flow, should not be interrupted

   Voice is precious because it is thought and feeling, externalized in real time — a flow state. Flow shouldn't be interrupted: no need to stare at a screen, no need to rush before a clock runs out. Once you tap Record, closing the keyboard, browsing at will, even locking the phone or pacing with hands behind your back won't cut the moment short. Keep talking. We'll keep listening.

2. II

   A trace, no longer lost

   Some words only take shape once — a thought, a feeling, an impulse that won't come back the same way twice. A dropped connection, a crash, a stray tap shouldn't be the reason it disappears. If you said it, uMate treats it as worth holding on to.

3. III

   The keyboard, still worth reverence

   Voice lets you speak freely, but precision still belongs to the keyboard. Years of typing habits have become reflex, and most places you write still expect that reflex. We won't ship a lazy keyboard just because voice is the headline feature — we're studying what decades of keyboard IMEs got right, and folding it in with care. Voice and keyboard were never an either/or. Pick whichever fits the moment.

   Expression, why priced?

   Good expression shouldn't run on a meter. By default, everything uMate promises runs on what your device already has — no subscription gate, no countdown that starts once you've been talking a while. If you want more, bring your own speech or language-model provider, and even shape its tone to match yours. That's never a complicated feature — just one more line in the prompt.

   Privacy, always yours to define

   Privacy, to us, is both absolute and situational. Absolute: your information is yours, and no one else touches it. Situational: your words are also part of you, and protecting your privacy shouldn't mean locking you out of what you said. We build on Apple's platforms — privacy by design, optional multi-factor on the Apple ID, and the device itself as a credential. iCloud is how uMate carries History, Prompt, LLM settings (never secrets), and Snippets between your iPhone and Mac. Each device decides which of those domains may enter the sync flow. Clipboard captures, audio, and API keys stay on that device.

6. VI

   Two platforms, on purpose

   uMate is built for iOS and Mac — today, and most likely for as long as it exists. That's not a limitation; it's a choice: go deep on two platforms that have earned their reliability, and let iCloud — Apple's own continuity layer — carry the domains you keep on. You are not asked to invent another account or sync service.
